Hagerstown, MD (April 8, 2023) – Emergency officials out of Washington County confirmed that at least one person was injured as a result of an automobile accident that took place on Wednesday morning.
At around 8:30 a.m. on April 5, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of an automobile accident on Interstate 70.
Preliminary reports show that vehicles collided on the eastbound side of the interstate. The incident prompted officials to close off a portion of the roadway near Crystal Falls Drive. The incident resulted in injuries. Medics were called to care for injured victims on-site and transported them to Meritus Hospital for further care.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
