Hampton, VA (December 20, 2022) – A woman lost her life following a fire incident that occurred in the Buckroe Beach section of Hampton on Saturday evening. At around 5:20 p.m., on December 16, the Hampton Fire & Rescue responded to the scene of a fire in the 1800 block of Moger Drive.
According to reports, a house fire was reported at a home located on Moger Drive, just off Andrews Drive. Crews arrived at the scene and located heavy smoke and flames coming out of the structure.
Firefighters were able to pull an elderly woman from the structure. She was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The woman passed away shortly after arriving.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
