In Harford County, a tragic crash involving a dump truck resulted in the death of a Fallston man on Thursday, July 27th, 2023, as reported by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened on Baldwin Mill Road at Furnace Road in Jarrettsville.
The dump truck, operated by a Public Works employee, collided with the northbound BMW.
Emergency services were alerted at 12:43 p.m. Fire, and EMS teams arrived four minutes later.
The BMW driver, John Derwart, 78, from Fallston, died at the scene before 1:00 p.m.
An 81-year-old passenger, Joan Bridges, also from Fallston, was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
