Haskell County, KS (October 14, 2024) – A traffic accident occurred just after midnight on Saturday night at the junction of U-83 and U-56, resulting in injuries to two individuals. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), the collision involved a semi-truck and a minivan.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the semi-truck was traveling north on U-83 when it failed to stop at the intersection, subsequently striking the minivan. The impact caused the minivan to come to a stop in the northwest ditch.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The driver of the minivan sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
