(September 19, 2023) – In the early hours of Saturday, September 16, 2023, a tragic accident claimed the life of 20-year-old Peyton Walton near Hazelton.
Jerome County records indicate that Braxton Streling, also 20, was camping with his family.
After some drinks, Streling and Walton ventured out around 4 a.m.
Walton, intrigued by a cornfield, wanted to dash through it.
Losing sight of Walton in the field, Streling began performing car stunts, specifically, reverse donuts.
Tragically, he unintentionally ran over Walton during this act.
Law enforcement identified the deceased as Peyton Walton.
Braxton Streling now faces vehicular manslaughter charges and is in custody.
The investigation is still ongoing.
