Hernando County, FL – Fatal Ejection in Sedan Crash on Mariner Blvd

Hernando County, FL (November 21, 2023) – A devastating accident resulted in the death of a 25-year-old passenger on Monday night, November 20, in Hernando County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 10:22 p.m. on Mariner Boulevard, north of Casa Grande Circle.

A 23-year-old driver operating a Cadillac ATS failed to navigate a curve, causing the Sedan to veer into the median. It then crossed the southbound lanes and struck two transformer utility boxes before crashing into a concrete wall. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

The passenger died at the scene. Neither were wearing seatbelts. The driver’s condition remains unclear.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of this tragic crash.
