Highland Springs, VA (April 9, 2023) – A fire incident was reported in the Highland Springs neighborhood that sent one person to an area hospital with injuries.
The fire was reported at around 8:50 a.m. on April 8.
According to the Henrico County Fire Department, a two-story single-family home located in the 400 block of North Ivy Avenue caught on fire early Saturday morning.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and immediately located flames and smoke pouring from the building. Firefighters went to work quickly on battling the blaze.
One person in the home was injured as a result of the fire. The victim was transported to Virginia Commonwealth University Health for emergency care.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
