Hillcrest, CA – Pedestrian Severely Injured in Hit-and-Run on Univ Ave

Hillcrest, CA (November 20, 2023) – A 33-year-old pedestrian suffered severe injuries in a hit-and-run incident in Hillcrest on Sunday, November 19. The San Diego Police Department reports the crash occurred on the 1000 block of University Avenue around 8:41 p.m.

The victim was walking west on University Avenue when a silver 2011 Mercedes-Benz E350. It was driven by a 35-year-old man, struck him. The pedestrian sustained a brain bleed and skull fracture and was hospitalized.

The investigation into this serious incident continues.
