Hillsborough County, FL (June 14, 2020) – A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was injured in an accident that occurred on an interstate in Hillsborough County this past Friday afternoon.
The collision occurred when a sedan with a separated wheel was traveling at high speeds toward a trooper on a marked motorcycle. The trooper was parked underneath a bridge while the sedan was coming at him.
The officer hopped over a guardrail to avoid being struck by the vehicle. His motorcycle was hit by the sedan and sustained severe damages. The trooper was injured during the incident and the driver of the sedan sustained no injuries.
