Hinesville, GA (December 23, 2020) – This past Tuesday night, December 22, a high school student lost her life when she was hit by a car in Hinesville. She was identified as a 17-year-old student at the Bradwell Institute.
The accident took place on E.G. Miles Parkway in the vicinity of McDowell Street shortly before 6:00 p.m. It involved a Hyundai Coupe that struck the girl for reasons still under investigation.
According to witness statements provided by the Hinesville Police Department, the girl was walking across the road at the time of the collision. She was transported to Liberty Regional Medical Center where she was later pronounced deceased by medical professionals.
The driver of the Hyundai was identified only as a 58-year-old man. No charges have been announced at the current time.
