Hollister Gilroy, CA (September 18, 2023) – A deadly off-roading accident took place at 3:59 p.m. on New Idria Rd on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

CHP Hollister Gilroy responded to an overturned vehicle off the roadway.

Due to road closures, helicopter assistance was considered.

Recovery crews faced an estimated hour delay in arrival.

Evidence was collected, and location verification occurred at 6:01 p.m.

Braccos Tow was alerted at 6:14 p.m.

Both officers and the tow truck were on scene by 6:50 p.m.

The tow truck completed duties by 9:25 p.m. in Tres Pinos.

The investigation is still ongoing.
