Houston, TX – Collision at Market and Federal Intersection Leaves an Officer Hospitalized

Houston, TX ( July 10, 2023) – On Saturday, July 8th, 2023, a Houston Police Department (HPD) officer got hospitalized after colliding with a suspected drunk driver on the city’s east side.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. while the officer was assisting in a chase.

A Ford pickup truck crashed into the officer’s patrol car at the intersection of Market and Federal.

Authorities arrested the unidentified driver of the Ford pickup truck, who showed signs of intoxication.

The injured officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators are currently conducting an ongoing investigation to gather more details.
