Houston, TX – Police Chase Ends in Crash at Ella Boulevard and Rankin Road, Three Badly Injured

Houston, TX ( July 28, 2023) – A police chase in north Houston led to a severe crash at Ella Boulevard and Rankin Road, leaving three individuals with serious injuries.

The pursuit was initiated by Humble police, with Houston police joining at 2:50 a.m. to assist as the chase entered the city.
It occurred on Friday, July 28th, 2023.
The suspects collided with a Toyota passing through the intersection, injuring all three occupants of the vehicle.
HPD was involved in the pursuit for approximately 12 minutes before the collision occurred, and the reason for Humble police initiating the chase remains unclear.
Houston Fire Department had to extricate one of the Toyota’s occupants, who was then flown to the hospital in critical condition via Life Flight.

The other two individuals were also taken to the hospital, one in critical condition.
Humble police swiftly apprehended the uninjured suspects.

The investigation is being led by Humble police, with HPD also participating.
