Huntsville, AL (January 13, 2025) – A crash involving a commercial vehicle and an SUV resulted in the death of one adult and injuries to two children on Monday morning. The accident occurred on Memorial Parkway southbound at Mastin Lake, prompting lane closures and a significant emergency response.
Huntsville Police reported that the southbound lanes were closed as of 8:49 AM due to the severity of the collision. Emergency responders, including Huntsville Fire & Rescue, Madison County Rescue, Huntsville Police, and HEMSI, were dispatched to the scene.
According to HEMSI spokesperson Don Webster, three individuals were involved in the crash. The adult victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to Huntsville Hospital Women and Children, where they succumbed to their injuries. The two children involved in the collision are currently in stable condition and receiving treatment at the same hospital.
