Idaho Falls, ID (September 19, 2023) – Roy Lopez, 61, of St. Anthony, tragically died in a crash on Sunday evening.
The accident occurred just before 8 p.m. on State Highway 33 at mile marker 100.
Lopez was riding his 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Highway 33.
A juvenile, driving westbound, turned southbound directly in front of Lopez’s path.
The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the juvenile’s vehicle.
Without a helmet, Lopez was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The young driver, seatbelted, remained uninjured. The scene blocked traffic for around three hours.
The investigation is still ongoing.
