Imperial, MO (October 26, 2024) – A traffic accident occurred on Friday, October 25 at approximately 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Seckman Road and Frisco Hill Road, resulting in injuries to two individuals. The incident was investigated by TPR. R. A. Lilly and involved a 2004 Ford Explorer and a 2003 Jeep Wrangler.
Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of the Ford Explorer, a 16-year-old male juvenile from Imperial, MO, was stopped at a stop sign on Frisco Hill Road, preparing to make a left turn onto Seckman Road. As he proceeded, he failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The Jeep Wrangler, driven by 40-year-old Lindsey Owens from Arnold, MO, was traveling eastbound on Seckman Road when it struck the side of the Explorer.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene promptly. The juvenile driver of the Ford Explorer sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South by Rock Township Ambulance District. Additionally, 63-year-old Vicki M. Therell, an occupant in the Jeep Wrangler, also suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the same hospital for medical treatment.
