Jackson County, MO (January 9, 2025) – A collision involving a semi-truck and a passenger car on I-70 Eastbound at mile marker 29 resulted in injuries and significant damage late Wednesday afternoon. The accident occurred around 4:35 p.m., prompting a response from the Sni Valley Fire Department and other local authorities.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2015 Kenworth semi-truck and a 2010 Cadillac. The collision happened when the Cadillac, driven by a 69-year-old female from Corder, MO, attempted to pass the Kenworth, driven by a 66-year-old male from Carrollton, MO. The truck changed lanes and struck the Cadillac, causing it to veer off the roadway and overturn.
The Cadillac sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by R and S Towing. The driver of the Cadillac suffered injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment. The truck sustained damage and was driven from the scene. Both drivers were confirmed to be wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.
