Jacksonville, FL (April 27, 2020) – A serious car accident took place at an intersection in Jacksonville this past Saturday night that injured four people.
The crash occurred between a police cruiser and a passenger vehicle at a Ribault Avenue intersection. Police and other first responders were called to the accident site around 9:00 p.m. on the evening of April 25.
Authorities confirmed that the collision took place when a police cruiser was struck by a passenger car at the intersection of Soutel Drive and Ribault Avenue for reasons still under investigation.
It was also confirmed by police that the passenger car was attempting to make a left-hand turn at the intersection when it struck the police cruiser.
Three passengers in the passenger car along with the police officer present in the vehicle at the time of the crash were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of serious injuries. All are expected to make full recoveries.
No further information has been released.
An investigation into the accident and its circumstances will continue.
