The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the first collision at 3:47 p.m., which injured several individuals. A second crash followed at 4:04 p.m., blocking additional lanes but resulted in no injuries.
Both incidents occurred in the bridge’s northbound lanes, causing significant delays. Authorities quickly addressed the situation, reopening all lanes by late afternoon. The initial crash involved blocked right and center lanes, while the subsequent collision only affected the right lane.
