Jamestown, NY – Three Killed in Small Plane Crash Near Town of Ellicott

Jamestown, NY (November 2, 2020) – Local officials in the Jamestown area located three deceased parties among the wreckage of a small plane that went down on Sunday, November 1st. According to authorities, a twin-engine Grumman American GA-7 crashed in an area near Routes 380 and 60 near the town of Ellicott at around 6:00 p.m. that evening.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said that three people, later identified as Valarie Holmes, Linda Edwards, and Alan Fuller were aboard the small plane when it lost contact with air traffic controllers and went down a short time later. Authorities located the crash site around 10:00 a.m., about one mile east of Chautauqua County Jamestown Airport.

The plane was traveling from Burlington Alamance Regional Airport in North Carolina. All three occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, authorities with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating the events that led to this incident.
