Jamestown, NY (January 16, 2023) – Authorities say that a man was arrested for DWI after allegedly causing a two-car crash that left a woman seriously injured. It happened at around 12:37 p.m. on Friday night, January 13th in the town of Jamestown.

According to law enforcement, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Hazeltine Avenue and Colfax Street, resulting in emergency crews at the scene. A woman who was operating one of the vehicles was transported to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital for treatment of severe injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, 23-year-old Matthew Kruszka of Gowanda, was determined to have been intoxicated at the time of the crash. He has been charged with DWI and vehicular assault.

The condition of the injured woman has not been updated at this time.
