Jane, MO (January 06, 2025) – A head-on collision occurred at approximately 6:20 PM on US 71 in Jane, resulting in several injuries. Emergency responders from McDonald County Fire and Rescue arrived quickly on the scene to provide care to those involved. The crash involved two vehicles: a 1998 GMC 1500 and a 2019 Jeep Cherokee.
The 72-year-old driver of the GMC, a male from Pineville, MO, was traveling southbound when the vehicle unexpectedly entered the northbound lanes. The vehicle collided head-on with the Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 31-year-old male, also from Pineville. The impact was severe, totaling both vehicles. The driver of the GMC suffered moderate injuries, while his 29-year-old female passenger, also from Pineville, sustained moderate injuries as well. Both were transported to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, AR. The driver of the Jeep, who had injuries, was also taken to Mercy Hospital, Rogers, for treatment.
