Jasper, FL (April 15, 2020) – Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal accident that occurred in Jasper this past Monday.
The crash happened on I-75 around 9:20 p.m. and involved two vehicles. According to the police report, 28-year-old Korey Farley of Sanford was headed north on I-75 near a Jasper exit when he struck the back of a Ford F-150 being driven by Joseph Ledlow, 54, of Tifton, GA. The Ford then spun out into a ditch. Joseph Ledlow and his passenger, Jane Ledlow, were both sadly pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
Farley attempted to flee the crash site but was apprehended at a nearby gas station and transported to a local medical center for minor injuries sustained in the accident.
He was then charged with a DUI and awaits other pending charges depending on the outcome of the investigation.
