Jasper, MO (September 18, 2023) – Two young males, aged 12 and 14, were injured in a street race on Palamino Rd, east of Carthage, on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

While racing, the Chevrolet Tahoe driven by the 12-year-old crossed the center line.

Its rear collided with the side of the Toyota Tacoma driven by the 14-year-old.

The impact sent the Tacoma off the road, where it hit a tree and overturned.

Both juveniles from Carthage, MO, sustained moderate injuries.

EMS rushed them to Mercy in Joplin for treatment.

The investigation is still ongoing.
