Jefferson, MO (July 14, 2023) – A motorcycle crash in Jefferson City on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, injured one man.
The incident took place on Highway 50/63 at Shamrock Road.
As per the release from the Jefferson City police, the collision occurred when Jayne Williams, 63, from Belle, slowed her Chevrolet Silverado in a work zone.
Unfortunately, Jonathan Campbell, 35, from Rocheport, who was riding a motorcycle behind her, failed to notice the deceleration and collided with the rear of Williams’ SUV.
The motorcycle skidded before coming to a stop.
Emergency responders promptly transported Campbell to a hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries.
Williams did not sustain any injuries in the crash.
The investigation is still ongoing.
