Jefferson, MO (December 18, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 30 and Old Sugar Creek Rd in Jefferson County, leaving one driver injured. Emergency responders quickly arrived to provide medical care and investigate the crash.
The incident happened at approximately 12:00 PM and involved a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox and a 2009 Ford Focus. According to preliminary reports, the Chevrolet Equinox was turning left from westbound Highway 30 onto Old Sugar Creek Rd when it collided with the eastbound Ford Focus. The vehicles entered the intersection simultaneously, and the right front of each vehicle sustained significant damage during the crash.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a 43-year-old woman from Fenton, MO, suffered moderate injuries. She was promptly transported by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South for treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox, a 31-year-old woman also from Fenton, MO, was reportedly uninjured. Both drivers were confirmed to be wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by High Ridge Towing due to extensive and moderate damage respectively. Authorities are conducting a detailed investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
