Kansas, MO (July 10, 2023) – In the early afternoon of Saturday, July 8, 2023, a man was struck and killed by a semi-tractor truck as he crossed a highway.

Around 11:30 a.m., a white Kenworth Fuel Tanker headed south on I-435.

A pedestrian dashed across the highway in front of the Kenworth from the east shoulder heading west.

The Kenworth driver tried to avoid hitting the pedestrian, but she crashed into him anyway.

The pedestrian was fatally struck by the semi-tractor truck’s front ride side.

The driver of the Kenworth sustained no injuries.

The investigation is still in progress.
