Kerrville, TX – Four-Vehicle Crash in the 2600 block of State Hwy 2 Claims One Life and Injures Three Others

Kerrville, TX ( July 21, 2023) – A tragic four-vehicle crash resulted in losing one man’s life and injuries to three other drivers.

The accident happened around 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 20th, 2023, in the 2600 highway block.

According to police, the collision occurred when a Chevrolet pickup truck turned left from Blue Ridge Road onto Junction Highway.

The pickup truck collided with a Toyota Corolla traveling west in the inside lane.

Following the initial impact, a Ford transit van behind the Toyota attempted to change lanes to avoid the crash, but it also hit the Chevrolet pickup.

During the accident, a spare tire came loose from the Chevrolet truck and struck a stationary fourth vehicle on Blue Ridge Road.

Tragically, the driver of the Toyota Corolla, identified as 71-year-old Bruce Rische, lost his life at the scene.

The three other drivers involved sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
