Key Peninsula, WA (January 4, 2025) – An electric bicyclist was critically injured in a collision with a vehicle on Thursday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 302 and Wright Bliss Rd NW. The crash drew an immediate response from the Key Peninsula Fire Department (KPFD).
The collision occurred at approximately 5:02 p.m., near Fire Station 45. According to KPFD, a car traveling at high speed struck the bicyclist, leaving the rider in critical condition. Emergency responders were on-site within minutes and began providing care to the severely injured rider.
Officials noted that the bicyclist was wearing dark clothing, which may have impacted visibility at the time of the crash. The driver of the vehicle stopped immediately, contacted 911, and cooperated fully with law enforcement during the investigation.
