Lake County, FL – Hit-and-Run Crash Leaves Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Sorrento

Lake County, FL (July 27, 2023)- Wolf Branch Road near County Road 437 in Lake County is the site of a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist in critical condition.

At about 4:45 a.m., July 26, 2023, a 59-year-old Sorrento man was riding his bike when a vehicle in the opposite direction struck him.

The victim suffered severe wounds and was rushed to the hospital, but his condition improved.

Near the crash site, investigators located small pieces of debris that could have come from a white car.

In addition, they established that the cyclist was equipped with working lights at the time of the collision.

The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the hit-and-run to locate the perpetrator.
