Lakeland, FL (December 2, 2024) – A 67-year-old woman, identified as Robin Brown, tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run incident on Saturday evening. The collision occurred near the 700 block of South Florida Avenue as Brown was attempting to cross the street westbound from Palmetto Avenue.
According to the Lakeland Police Department, Brown was struck by a vehicle traveling south on South Florida Avenue. The vehicle fled the scene immediately after the crash. Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident, and Brown was transported to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she was later pronounced dead from her injuries.
The Lakeland Police Department is actively investigating the incident and is seeking the public's help in locating the vehicle responsible for the hit-and-run. Police believe the suspect vehicle is a 2018-2022 Range Rover Sport 2, which may be gray or silver in color.
