Langley Park, MD (April 10, 2023) – The police department is currently investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on Thursday evening, April 6.
At around 8:05 p.m., authorities were called to the scene of an accident on New Hampshire Avenue.
Reports from authorities so that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 7900 block of New Hampshire Avenue during the evening hours.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located a pedestrian on the road, suffering from significant injuries. The pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital, where they passed away from their injuries.
The involved vehicle fled the scene of the crash without stopping. It has been identified as a white cargo van.
Investigations into the crash are currently underway by the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit.
