Largo, FL – Hit-and-Run: Tesla Model 3 Strikes and Seriously Injures Motorcyclist on Gandy Bridge

Largo, FL (July 27, 2023)- The Florida Highway Patrol reports that early Sunday morning, July 16, 2023, a collision between a motorcycle and a Tesla Model 3 resulted in serious injuries, and the driver of the Tesla then fled the scene.

Around 3 a.m., a driver speeding west on the Gandy Bridge struck and flipped a Suzuki GSXR-750 motorcycle.

The rider, a 20-year-old from Tampa, was seriously hurt.

Troopers found Tesla components at the scene and tracked the car to its owner’s Largo, Florida, apartment complex.

The Highway Patrol took the vehicle as evidence in their search for the hit-and-run perpetrator.
