Nevada High-Speed Accidents
As far as serious car crashes and roadway fatalities, speeding is a primary factor in a significant portion. Speeding can greatly impact the ability of the driver to properly control their vehicle. When a driver exceeds the speed limit, they are unable to react to roadway hazards in a timely manner and will require an increased stopping distance in order to come to a complete and safe stop.
In 2018, there were 9,378 reported roadway fatalities involving high-speed crashes. That is an average of nearly 25 people dying each day at the hands of speeding drivers. That year, nearly 26% of vehicle fatalities reported across the United States involved high-speed collisions.
