Las Vegas, NV – Thomas Burger Killed in Trucking Collision on I-15

Las Vegas, NV (August 12, 2020) – According to reports from the Nevada Highway Patrol, there was a fatal collision in North Las Vegas that took the life of a tow-truck driver on Monday, August 10. The crash took place on Interstate 15 SB near the US-93 split in the north valley area at around 3 p.m. that afternoon. 

Initial reports revealed that the collision involved two large trucks. Officials reported that a white Isuzu tow-truck carrying a silver SUV was traveling south on I-15 approaching a large tan Army National Guard vehicle. For unknown reasons, the Isuzu failed was involved in a collision with a National Guard vehicle. 

The driver of the Isuzu tow-truck sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency personnel. The Clark County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased victim as 34-year-old Thomas Burger. The cause of and manner of death is currently pending. 

An ongoing investigation into the incident is being managed by the NHP.
