Lauderdale County, MS – High-Speed Motorcycle Chase Ends in Fatal Crash on Hwy 39

Lauderdale County, MS (November 20, 2023) – A tragic incident occurred on Sunday, November 19, involving a high-speed motorcycle chase that ended fatally. William Noah Jenkins, 21, died at the scene near Highway 39. Riding a motorcycle, Jenkins attempted to evade a Meridian Police officer for reckless driving. The pursuit escalated to speeds of 100 mph.

During the chase, Jenkins’s motorcycle collided with a car that emerged onto the highway. This crash resulted in his immediate death. Notably, the previous night, Jenkins had fled from a Lauderdale County Sheriff deputy.

Investigations into this unfortunate event are currently ongoing.
