Lawrence County, MO (July 20, 2023)- Tuesday, July 18, 2023, an accident killed two and injured others.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Route 96, approximately six miles west of Miller.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Wyatt Cady, 32, from Ash Grove, veered off the road in a 1983 Ford F250 eastbound.
He crashed into Republic’s 31-year-old Curtis Forrest’s 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan while trying to correct his course.
Tragically, Republic’s baby girl and Cady died at the scene.
Curtis Forrest and a 3-year-old mini-van passenger were flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
Curtis Forrest and the children wore seatbelts, but Wyatt Cady was not.
