Lebanon, ME (October 27, 2024) – A tragic head-on collision occurred on Friday evening, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to three others. The accident took place around 6 p.m. on Long Swamp Road when a car crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a pickup truck, according to the York County Sheriff's Office.
The driver of the car, identified as 39-year-old Daniel Dempsey, a resident of Lebanon, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 44-year-old woman from Berwick, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Fortunately, she is expected to survive her injuries.
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries, and they were treated at the scene.
