Lee County, FL (July 22, 2020) – This past Sunday, a car accident took place on a roadway in Lee County that seriously injured one teenage individual.
The car wreck happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. near Bellair Road on Palm Beach Boulevard when two cars collided for reasons still being investigated by police. Florida Highway Patrol stated that a pickup truck was traveling west on Palm Beach when it crossed over the center stripe and struck another vehicle that was traveling west on the same road.
The driver of the pickup sustained injuries as well as the driver of the other vehicle. A 19-year-old female passenger in one of the vehicles sustained serious injuries in the wreck and was transported to a nearby medical center for treatment.
Her identity currently remains undisclosed and no information on the nature of her injuries has been currently released.
Florida Highway Patrol will carry out an investigation into the details of the incident to determine the cause of the crash.
No other information has been released at this time.
