Leshara, NE (September 19, 2023) – A car heading north on Highway 77 late Monday afternoon, September 18, 2023, crossed the centerline.

It collided with an SUV and truck near Highway 64, north of Lincoln.

The car was reportedly moving erratically before the crash.

The car’s driver, suffering severe injuries, needed extrication. First, he was taken to a Fremont hospital, then flown to Omaha.

The SUV’s driver received treatment in Fremont for minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the pickup driver was treated at the scene.

Authorities suspect alcohol involvement and noted missing seatbelts for car and truck drivers.

The investigation is still ongoing.
