Lewistown, MD (December 28, 2022) – Emergency officials responded to the scene of a traffic accident that took place in Frederick County that resulted in injuries. On December 27, the police and firefighters out of Frederick were notified that they were needed at the scene of a crash on Route 15.
According to law enforcement, at around 6:40 p.m., a traffic wreck blocked the northbound side of Route 15 in the area near Powell Road. The incident prompted authorities to block off multiple travel lanes in the area.
EMS responded to the scene of the accident to provide care to the injured victims.
Medics transported at least one person to a local hospital for further care.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
