Lincoln, NE (June 14, 2025) – A 44-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident in Lincoln. Lincoln Police and Fire, and Rescue were called to the scene near 27th and Theresa streets around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, who had been hit by a car in the parking lot of a nearby business. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Initial investigations suggest that the vehicle involved had left the area before officers arrived. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification, out of respect for the family. Lincoln Police have since located the vehicle and the driver involved in the incident, though no further details on the driver have been released as of yet.
