Lincoln, NE (May 13, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred early Tuesday morning, May 13, on Highway 79 north of West Bluff Road in northern Lancaster County, Nebraska. Authorities reported that a Ford sedan traveling south crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with a semi truck around 2:40 AM.
The driver of the Ford sedan, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash shut down Highway 79 in the area for several hours, but the road has since reopened. The driver of the semi truck was not injured.
