Lincoln, NE (September 13, 2023) – A tragic motorcycle accident on Interstate 80 claimed the life of a Lincoln man on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Witnesses recounted the motorcyclist, believed to be speeding, traveling east on I-80.

As he approached the 397 Exit, he suddenly swerved to take the Highway 77 Exit.

He lost control, veered onto the grass near the exit ramp, and crashed off the road.

The victim, 60-year-old Russell Carter, was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Carter wore a helmet when the accident occurred.

The investigation is still ongoing.
