Long Island, NY (August 6, 2022) – Two sisters have died following a fire that broke out in a home located in the Southhampton area. On August 3, emergency crews were called to the scene of a fire incident that occurred on Spring Lane just off Noyac Road.
Reports from authorities show a fire broke out inside a Maryland family’s vacation home just after 3:30 in the morning on Wednesday. Multiple fire stations responded to the scene of the incident and began battling the blaze.
60-year-old Lewis Weiner, 52-year-old Alisa Weiner, and 23-year-old Zachary Weiner were all able to escape the structure. The three victims suffered from smoke inhalation and were transported to Stony Brook Southhampton hospital for care.
The two sisters became trapped inside of the building. The victims, 21-year-old Jillian Weiner and 19-year-old Lindsay Weiner, both suffered fatal injuries as a result of the fire.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
