Los Angeles, CA – Mother and Son Killed in Hit-and-Run on Wilshire Blvd & S Burlington Ave

Los Angeles, CA (November 20, 2023) – A tragic hit-and-run incident claimed the lives of a mother and her son on Sunday, November 12, in Los Angeles’ Westlake area. The Los Angeles Police Department reports the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and South Burlington Avenue.

The driver, heading eastbound on Wilshire, struck the two pedestrians on the sidewalk at South Burlington for unknown reasons. The son was pronounced dead at the scene. His mother, initially transported to the hospital, later succumbed to her injuries.

Following the crash, the driver fled but was apprehended thanks to witnesses alerting nearby officers. The investigation into this heartbreaking incident continues.
