Louisa, VA (February 26, 2023) – A fatal accident took place in Louisa County on Saturday that claimed one person’s life while leaving multiple other people injured.
According to officials, a 2006 Pontiac Torrent was traveling south on the roadway when it went over a hill at a high rate of speed. As a result, the vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into two trees. The Pontiac then burst into flames.
Five teenagers were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
One teen was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of their injuries. A second teen was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries. Three remaining teenagers, including the driver, world transported to area hospitals for the treatment of serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the state police at this time.
