Madera, CA (September 13, 2023) – A man, believed to be in his 70s, was fatally struck by a small pickup truck on Madera Avenue near Maple Street on Monday, September 11, 2023, around 8:15 p.m.
Madera police reported that the man walked into the path of oncoming traffic.
The pickup truck’s driver hit the man.
After the collision, the driver stopped, waited for authorities, and cooperated.
The victim’s identity hasn’t been released yet.
Impairment doesn’t seem to be a cause in the crash.
The investigation is still ongoing.
