Manhattan, NY (March 26, 2023) – On the morning of March 26, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident in Manhattan.
Reports show the wreck occurred in the southbound lanes of Franklin D. Roosevelt Drive near 61st Street.
EMTs, police, and firefighters were observed helping those involved at the scene shortly after 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
What caused the accident is being investigated by local police. Traffic was stopped back to 79th Street while responders worked to secure the area.
At least one individual was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries they sustained in the accident. The identities of the injured victims have not been reported at this time.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
