Manhattan, NY (February 17, 2023) – Authorities say that a pedestrian was injured after they were hit by a car on Friday morning, February 17th. The auto-pedestrian collision was reported in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan at approximately 9:01 a.m.
Reports from the scene show that an unidentified person was traveling by foot in the area of 1240 Park Avenue. While walking alongside the roadway, an unspecified type of motor vehicle reportedly entered the area and struck the pedestrian. The impact of the collision caused the pedestrian to sustain injuries.
First responders, including police and paramedics, responded to the scene to help the victim. The wounded individual was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance for further evaluation and treatment.
Authorities have not provided any indication of the seriousness of the victim’s injuries. Investigators are conducting an inquiry to establish the events that triggered the accident.
